Create a multi-axis tool path
AdaOne has a powerful path planning engine that can generate tool paths for a wide range of geometries. Each strategy is tailored to specific part and substrate geometries, for example, planar horizontal, planar along curve, radial, revolved surface, and sweep.
In this guide, we will show you how to create a multi-axis tool path using the revolved surface strategy. We will use the robot cell created during the "Create a robot cell" guide. You can download both the cell and the part below.
- 1Create a new project and import the partPress Ctrl + N on your keyboard to create a new project and select the robot cell you would like to use. Import the nozzle geometry from the provided sample files.
- 2Generate a tool pathSelect the revolved surface strategy and generate a tool path.
- 3Optimize and simulate the tool pathDefine the interpolation strategy for the 2-axis positioner and simulate the tool path.
